The Engineering Design Show 2024 will be taking place in Coventry in September.
There are opportunities for speakers, which I think will be a useful platform for me to air some of my thoughts about Professional Registration. The whole concept of titles C.Eng. and I.Eng. can be misunderstood not only by employers seeking to recruit staff to fill specific positions but the accolades are equally misunderstood by many engineers hoping to become certified or registered as professionals in their fields.
To this end, I have decided to participate by presenting this topic with a view to clarify the issue and help those wishing to pursue professional registration and employers too, looking for professionally registered staff.
Here are details of my submission to secure a place at this year’s EDS.
