Abroad and Hungry
Max Ginestra, an Italian chap has travelled all over the Mediterranian including Greece and Turkiye to discover some of the most popular and traditional Street Foods. This video covers his exploration of Istanbul and discovering a range of Street Foods including; Tandir, Buryan Kebap, Iskender, Kumpir, Kelle Paca, Izmir Kumru, Kelle Sogus, Pilav ustu Tavuk, Lahmacun, Manti, Balik Ekmek and Simit. It also includes a selection of desserts including Boza, Helva, Lokma, Elmali, Kunefe and Baklava.
We note some very interesting cooking techniques ranging from Wells and traditional stone ovens and of course wood and charcoal grills. The use of natural fats to enhance flavours with breads and pide served along side these meats are home made in each case.
And here is a very appealing Doner Kebab restaurant in Germany
