This is a short article to show how a giant organization like Godaddy.com manipulates users to stop them from holding on to their choice to freedom.
I have been gradually winding down relations with Godaddy for some time and have written about my incredible experiences with this company in the past. As I try to exercise the right to choose whomever I do business with, I can see that this company tries to tie customers down and handcuff them so that they can’t walk away.
On this occasion, I note that Godaddy has made it a requirement that customers allow it to acquire and retain their telephone numbers. The main issue here is that whenever it was that I signed up to Godaddy’s terms, it was clearly not a requirement to part with my personal and private telephone number to use its’ services.
And as you can imagine, we do not log into our domain registrar’s web site very often. You simply register your domain and hope not to return for at least 12 months, until you need to renew your domain name. Perhaps once every 24 months if you have secured your domain for two or more years up front..
It is despicable that half way through your relationship, organzations like Godaddy change the terms of your agreement and unless you accept their new terms, you are blocked from accessing your account – half way through a pre agreed arrangement.
As you can see from the screen-shot below. I am not unable to log into my account, without giving up my telephone number. It is excruciatingly painful to be faced with a threat, as shown…
“Verify your Primary phone number to ensure you won’t lose access to your account. Message and data rates may apply. We will use this number to enhance the security of your account and for other purposes consistent with your current contact preferences.”

Can you believe this?!!!
“Verify your Primary phone number to ensure you won’t lose access to your account.”
What they’re actually saying is, YOU HAVE LOST ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT
We have you over a barrel and unless you give us your telephone number, NOW! We are not going to loet you access your account!!
Fucking ARESEHOLES!!!!!

This is why I did not allow Godaddy to push me around the last time around. If I remember correctly, their MELOVELANT act of putting grave hurdles between my and my domain, which I objected to being charged extortionate fees to renew – BUT eventually took possession of through another registrar – after a cooling off period. I am now facing another ganster style hold up in a dark alley way.
This is exactly what I refer to in my write up as White Collar Criminals. You see. The law can not cover every potential outcome in all aspects of our lives. The obvious ones are of course covered. Such as thou shall not kill one another, rape or steal. We have those covered and will come down on you like ton of bricks if you breach these. But, the finer detailed crimes simply comes down to common sense and more to the point, civilians will simply have to use common sense, ethics and morals to avoid retallians of the known kind such as motivating people who are going about their lives in a respectable manner to becoming haters and making it their business to alert the masses that there is evil among us, wolves in sheep’s clothing, waiting to catch us off guard, alone and in an alley way, to thump us where it huts just when we are least expecting to be and by those we never thought were our on the other side as our adversaries.
Much in the same way as being barred from a Public House, or some place when we breach rules and guidelines, I too have a similar scheme, where I balck list organisations like Goddaddy. Sure, my protests means nothing to these gigantic organizations but that doesn’t mean I will allow them to tream me in this way.
Godaddy….. Go FUCK YOURSELF!!!!
Once my last domain expires, I will have nothing left to do with you!
Let’snot forget that since I live in the UK. Our consumer rights and laws that are in place to protect us are confiended to borders of the United Kingdom. Even if I had the time and resources to legally object to these pathetic acts from a commercial organization. Since Goddaddy is an American organization, there is absolutely nothing English Law can do for me. And I think many American companies are very well aware of this fact.
That is why I advocate that British citizens refrain from subscribing to services and buying products from anyone who is not signed up to our nation’s rules and regulations.
I also advocate that our governments in this part of the world acknowledge that the Top Level Domain assigned to the United Kingdom is .co.uk or .uk or org.uk And for that reason, all companies based in the UK should be obliged to use these TLD’s and give the average consumer a sign that they are dealing with organizations that are operating under UK legal and moral guidelines.
